China’s Exchange Rate Variation: Impacts on Industrial Restructuring analyzes China’s current industrial restructuring as it is affected by exchange rate variations. Using the three transmission paths of China’s exchange rate variation as the basis of their research, authors Gu Kejian and Yu Jian examine the link between the RMB exchange rate and the overall industrial restructuring of China. Looking at the trends of China's exchange rate, and the reforms of the system, the authors determine how these factors shape industrial restructuring efforts. China’s Exchange Rate Variation: Impacts on Industrial Restructuring also offers practical suggestions which will allow China to gain “comparative advantage” on its path to industrial restructuring. Using the latest theories and methods of analysis, authors Gu Kejian and Yu Jian highlight the clear connections between China’s currency exchange rate policy and the nation’s industrial patterns.
